| Description: |
Perennials, loosely caespitose; rhizome long, creeping or ascending; stolons usually present. Leaves sparsely ciliate; margins ±smooth or sparsely papillose; tip obtuse, ±swollen. Lower bract herbaceous. Inflorescence composed of subsessile and pedunculate clusters; peduncles straight or flexuose, smooth, sometimes with secondary branches. Bracteoles scarious, ±ciliate, ±ovate, to c. 1.5 mm long. Tepals glabrous, usually with distinct midrib, 1.5-3.2 mm long. Stamens 6. Seeds deep brown, 0.9–1.2 mm long, 0.6–0.9 mm wide; appendage 0.1–0.2 mm long. |
