| Description: |
Plants usually to 20–35 (–40) cm tall, slender, few-leaved; rhizome long creeping/ascending; stolons present. Basal leaves usually (10–) 13–16 (–20) cm long, (1.5–) 2.0–3.0 (–3.5) mm wide, often suffused reddish; cauline leaves (1–) 2 (–3). Lower bract usually to 2 cm long, shorter than inflorescence. Inflorescence composed of 1–3 subsessile and 1–5 pedunculate clusters: clusters, usually 3–7 (–10)-flowered, hemispherical to subcylindrical, 5–6 mm in diam.; peduncles straight or flexuose, usually 2–4 cm long, with secondary branches rare. Tepals subequal, ±broadly lanceolate, acute to subobtuse and ±mucronate, usually (1.5–) 1.8–2.4 mm long, 0.6–0.9 (–1.1) mm wide; proximal middle part paler castaneous brown; midrib ±distinct; margins broad, scarious. Anthers (0.5–) 0.6–0.9 (–1.0) mm long; filaments 0.3–0.6 (–0.7) mm long; style (0.2–) 0.3–0.6 (–0.9) mm long; stigmas c. (0.6–) 1.0–1.6 (–2.0) mm long. Capsule oblong-ovoid, subacute to subobtuse, dark red-brown to dark brown, as long as to slightly shorter than perianth; capsule segments 1.7–2.1 (–2.5) × 1.0–1.5 mm.
