Auf die Vertauschung der Namen Lophocolea bidentata und L. cuspidata durch Limpricht (1876) und die Tatsache, dass ihm lange Zeit fast alle Autoren folgten, weisen Vogelpoel (1977) und Ludwig & al. (1996) hin. Beide Taxa werden hier als Varietäten akzeptiert, fide Smith (1990). Die gültigen Namen sind Lophocolea bidentata var. bidentata (für L. cuspidata auct. sensu Limpr.) und L. bidentata var. rivularis (für L. bidentata auct. sensu Limpr.). |
