Reported to occur in New Zealand, too, but material not seen and a confusion with the closely related J. pallescens is possible. An old introduction with wool in Hannover, Germany is reported in the literature [Asch. & Graebn., Syn. Mitteleur. Fl. 2 (2): 466 (1904)] but material not seen.
