Notes: There is a herbarium sheet from Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul, S. Leopoldo, Mt Sapucaia, B.Rambo 57059 (S), where a specimen similar to L. ostenii is accompanied by another plant, apparently ±intermediate between L. ostenii and L. ulei. Further material is required to elucidate relationships between the two taxa.
