Taxon Notes: Not known from Peru. Burkart (1942: 16) pointed out his earlier misapplication of this name (Burkart, 1935: 81) when he published L. tropicalandinus. Lathyrus longipes was treated as a variety of L. magellanicus by Burkart (1942: 23).
